Dr. Matthew Houting is a Wisconsin native. He grew up in Wausau, WI and in 2008 decided to move to Milwaukee, WI to attend Marquette University for his undergraduate studies. He graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences. During his undergraduate studies he met his future wife, who was also studying at Marquette, Dr. Maggie Houting. He went on to obtain his degree to become a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2015. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Houting joined the United States Air Force Dental Corps and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Hospital in 2016. It was here that Dr. Houting learned advanced techniques in IV Sedation, Oral Surgery, Endodontics and many other dental procedures. He then served two more years in the Air Force supporting missions by providing dental care at Whiteman AFB in Missouri.
Dr. Houting loved his time in Milwaukee so much that he decided to move back to Wisconsin to help provide stellar dental care to the Milwaukee community with his wife, Dr. Maggie Houting, and the Generations Family Dental team. Dr. Houting takes pride in providing excellent care for his patients using state of the art techniques. When he is not working Dr. Houting enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs relaxing or going on walks. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and anything that involves the outdoors.
